Colca Canyon 4D/3N
Day one
Morning flight to the beautiful white city of Arequipa. Transfer to hotel. Afternoon to acclimate to altitude and explore the Plaza de Armas on your own. Overnight in Arequipa.
Day two
Be ready for an early pick up from your hotel in Arequipa to begin your drive towards the Colca Valley. Visit the Pampa Cañahuas Reserve where you can admire vicuñas in their wild state. Visit the Aguada Blanca Reserve and see migrating birds. Enjoy a coca tea (not included) to help adapt to the altitude of the pass, and admire the view of the “Patapampa” Volcanoes, the highest point being 4,850 msnm. Admire the snow peaks that surround this sacred place for the Collaguas. Arrive at Chivay in the Colca Valley for lunch (not included), and then continue on to the Hotel Colca Lodge. Enjoy a free afternoon at the Colca Lodge to relax in the natural hot springs, rich in lithium, which helps in total relaxation, and other activities such as walks, horseback riding, fishing, mountain biking, and Spa. These extra activities are not included.
Day Three
Enjoy an early breakfast buffet at Colca Lodge and depart at 6:30 am to the Cruz del Cóndor, a strategic point to observe the Canyon and observe the spectacular flight of the condors. Visit the towns of Pinchollo, Maca and Yanque; and the outlooks of Choquetico and Antahuilqueto. Observe the impressive terracing of the Valley, tombs and pre Inca sites. After lunch in Chivay (not included) depart for Arequipa. Arrival time is around 5 in the afternoon. Overnight in Arequipa.
Day four
Transfer to Arequipa airport for a morning flight.
